The Great Tomato War

We've all been seeing the pictures from Spain of the great tomato battles happening in the streets of Bunol. For people living in the Grand Rapids, MI area, we can only imagine how hectic it would be to experience something like that in person. Until now. According to the GR Press's Gonzo, The B.O.B. will play host to a 32-team battle of tossing over-ripe tomatoes at each other.

The event will also include a beer tent, a tomato eating contest, and a sauce-off competition, a tug-o-war competition and music by Duke Tomatoe and The Power Trio. Admission is $5. You must be 21 or older to attend. Bleachers will be set up for spectators to watch the battles.
