I took a career placement test. It was free and went slightly in-depth into my psyche. (I'd have to pay more for their interpretation of who I am.) Unfortunately, according to this report, I'd be very comfortable staying in restaurants for the rest of my life. (I would, but only if it was my own sandwich shop.) The breakdown of my interests, according to this report (using percentiles), are:
98% - Writing
97% - Food Service
89% - Art
85% - Personal Service
84% - Teaching / Social Service
78% - Clerical
28% - Administration
26% - Sales
6% - Science
3% - Industrial Art
2% - Outdoors
My work styles:
67% - Systematic
64% - Persuasive
24% - Assertive
For the most part, this isn't actually all that surprising. Although, I didn't really expect to see food service on that list AT ALL. But, alas, it almost seems like destiny, no? The fact that I scored high on teaching doesn't really surprise me, either. That kind of sounds like fun, but, I'm not sure I could actually take it day-in, day-out. Plus, academic training to teach takes sooo long, it's crazy. Seriously, I think the requirements to be a teacher nowadays are more rigorous than to be a medical doctor.
Anywho, I thought I'd throw that out there for you all to see.
