Sarah Connor Chronicles

I just finished watching the pilot for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, a one-hour drama to premiere on FOX soon. It is based on the Terminator mythology, of which I know next to nothing, except there is Arnold in all three, that the first was cheesy fun, the second was a technological breakthrough (more so than #1, I think) and the third was cheesy fun. The TV series looks like it might, just might, be worth watching.

The show runners made excellent decisions casting Lena Headey and Summer Glau in this show. They carry any scene that they are in with such ease. And they play off each other well when together, too.

I don't want to say too much more, because I'll be writing a review for my upcoming TV blog (!!!), but already the show has a hilarious tendency to run over it's bad guys, has a slight sense of humor (which I hear amplifies in the future) and is actually interesting throughout the whole episode. (Plus, style-wise, it felt like an early episode of 24, back when they used tripods. But without split-screens. And it has the gay/not-gay friend of Claire's from Heroes, so it's like a best-of Monday night programming!)

I'm not completely sold on the series, but, I'm definitely, definitely intrigued.
