I have been watching some older television shows. It kind of came as a result of the WGA-strike, with not having much on the television to watch. And it has been completely addicting. Shows like The Bob Newhart Show and The Mary Tyler Moore Show are packed with such timeless humor that can stand the test of time. (Which makes one wonder if a show that tackles topical humor, like 30 Rock, can age well, but that's another post.)
And one great thing about watching these shows it seeing now-known actors and actresses, playing guest stars without any fanfare at all. I was watching an episode of The Bob Newhart Show, and there was this one character who looked very familiar, but I could not quite place him. It turns out that it was the Fonz himself, Henry Winkler. Except this was before he was on Happy Days, and two years before he would even play the Fonz on Laverne & Shirley. This episode, embedded below, truly shows Henry Winkler before he became famous.
