Grandville Memorial Park

A couple weeks ago, I went over to the Grandville Cemetery on a photo shoot. The cemetery is one of those locations that when you hear of people taking pictures there, you instantly think "why?", but when you actually take the photos, you understand, in a artsy kind of a way. Sure, there's death surrounding you. But there's also great beauty, and a tremendous amount of respect and reverence. There are so many stories to tell from each person who's memorialized there, it's incredible. So while you're trying to take a standard artsy photo, you're also trying to encapsulate that overarching story into the photos as well. (I can be very complex when it comes to taking photos, as you might have picked up.)

If you're interested in seeing these photos, I set up an album on Flickr
