My word, how annoying are the contestants on Deal or No Deal? There's a repeat on in the background as I type. I'm hearing the shrieks of excitement over what's inside the mysterious suitcase props, the three supporters urging the bundle-of-excitement-contestant to keep going!, because obviously hundreds of thousands of dollars isn't enough to make you happy. The most annoying part? When someone says they came to the show to "go all the way." It's a game of random chance! $103,350 was just offered and the friend just said, in essence, that she can do better and that she should keep going. YOU HAVE NO CLUE IF YOU'LL WIN OR NOT!!!
The remaining suitcases could be all those low dollar amounts or they could be the big ones. People lose out on big money all the time because they think they can do "better," when, in fact, they can't. Because this show isn't about skill. It's about randomness. I don't care if you're picking number eleven because "my son is eleven and I like that number" or "I own seventeen CD's, so, let's pick case number seventeen, Howie!" because they don't know. It's a show about people yelling at suitcases. Is the audience supposed to get wrapped up in the contestant, or yell at them? Because I'm definitely in the later category.
That $103,350 offer? It also included installation of power locks and power windows for her car. She said no deal.
