Sunday's installment of
Mary Worth is extremely juicy. Too juicy, in fact, for
Mary Worth. Normally, we'd find out stuff like that Vera's father died over the course of a month. But after months of dealing with the introverted Vera, who had to spend literally
a day to come out of her hardened shell and connect with Mary before she felt comfortable revealing a personality. And lo and behold, we suddenly got a big reveal: her backstory! Sure, we still have no clue what Von did to her, why she was living in a run-down apartment, why she isn't in the Millionare's Stomping Grounds or why she's back at the bottom of the corporate ladder. But now we have a story to put to her gloomy, depressed face!

In other news, there's an apparent death in
Apartment 3-G that may or may not involve paint fumes, drugs, suffocation and/or the deathly spirit of a deceased painter with a powerful grip on mankind. Or, apparently, the new explanation is that Gabriella has some kind of mystical powers and dreams of killing Lu Ann that come true. Only
Apartment 3-G could take a storyline like this and make it seem
just so INCREDIBLY BORING.
